ABOUT THE CREATURE

Nonbinary, They/It/He in order of preference. Never used neos but I sure don't mind trying in case you want to use any neopronoun with me. Pansexual and polygamic ;).

I am a proud Brazilian, born in the capital but moved to the interior of Maranhão someday in 2010.

I am a digital artist, character designer wannabe that got back to art "full time" in 2016 after an absurdly long 1 year and a bit break, started to look more professionaly in it somewhere between 2019 and 2020. Art is both my main work and my most personal and loved possession (although you WILL find me complaining about it somewhere).

This site (that I lovingly call The Depths despite having it with my main internet handle (yes you can find a lot of stuff about me looking feloplip up)) is a obsession that started April 2023 but I have ALWAYS loved the concept of having a site. I'm not from the time where you had one- Or maybe I was but it really wasn't something I could get into considering how things went for me at the time anyway- but I saw my sister not only be in a (sonic centric) forum but also MODERATE it and it always seemed fun. It probably has way more different implications but still, I always thought of "my own space" in the internet to be perfect, it's what internet was made for, right?
In my head the internet is just a place for connection...

Enough about me, let us talk about my cats!

I'll put photos of my cats here soon- I need to first find and curate them. And of course- figure out how to put images here HDUASHDUA. Also a small headsup- I talk really personaly about them all so there will be mentions and even long points of me talking about pet death. Stay safe, ok? Love yourself and specially love your pets as much as you can for as long as they live with you.

- Nina.

Also known mostly by xaninha, was *technically* my very first cat. When I first moved to my grandparents home, a bit after my grand mother's death, we had this sweet siamese cat. Sadly I don't think I have any photos of her- That was around 2010 and my relationship with having a phone is iffy; I do not have photos of her but believe me when I say she was beautiful and an amazing cat. Poor thing had to deal with my antics as a child, though. I am terribly sorry for that.

I'd love to give you one of these "this incredibly old cat is still alive and well!" but I can't. She died somewhere around 2013? 2014? I don't remember exactly but it was definitely before I got my oldest cat. She was victim of eating rat poison- A thing that sadly was and still is common around those parts of Brazil and probably some other places too. She was an amazing cat.

- Bleubleu

My oldest cat. Happily alive although a bit withdrawn due to age. He's not a castrated cat, hence the reason of most of my worries with him.

I got bleubleu by 2015; after arriving from a trip to São Paulo to visit family. Mother wasn't really thrilled about the pet but ended up warming up to him. My grandfather kept his distance but in the end he ended being the closest person to the cat, feeding him every morning and even caring for him more when I couldn't and my mother wouldn't.

When my grandfather died I think this cat felt more pain because of it than my own family. He resembles grandpa a lot too, if I am honest; Grumpy but lovely to be with when he's home. Really talkative- Especially when he wants to complain about something- And usually that is anything. I don't say this out of annoyance- I find it funny.

- Nevasca

I got her around 2020

- Frajola

I got him a bit after I got Nevasca. Almost like they came in a package deal.

- Rajadin

I got her at some point after both Nevasca and Frajola were fully grown. She was already an adult- Just a small one, haha. She's smaller than Nevasca.
